THE PERSISTENCE SWEPT AWAY SURFACING
I think that art is a voice. A voice that comes from the power that possibly moves people to think, act or react to it. I create to explore the release of thought and emotion. The simplicity and movement of paper draws me to this medium.
My creative process is my personal, individual experience and like my pieces, each conveys different emotions ranging from subtle, quiet moods to strong bold thoughts. The colors are brought together by arranging sometimes harmonious and sometimes clashing values, but with cooperative polarity. Themes of my work run from personifying inanimate physical objects to constructing more abstract non-representational images.
